NEW YORK, June 10 (UPI) -- Dylan Dreyer is pregnant with her first child.
The 34-year-old Today show meteorologist announced she's expecting a baby boy with husband Brian Fichera on Friday's episode of the NBC morning program.
"Yes, I am [pregnant]," she confirmed to the delight of co-hosts Savannah Guthrie, Tamron Hall,Carson Daly and Al Roker. "I'm due in December!"
Dreyer and Fichera will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary later this year. The meteorologist revealed there was a time she and her husband didn't want kids in a blog post on the Todaywebsite.
"We weren't in a rush," she explained. "Then one day we both looked at each other and said, 'I want a baby!' As usual, we were on the same page and it all just seemed right."
"I just can't believe I'm this lucky," the mom-to-be added. "I am so grateful and thank God every night and pray for him to keep his angels around our little one so that he's safe and protected."
Dreyer's announcement comes just days after Guthrie revealed she's pregnant with her second child. The 44-year-old television personality, who is already mom to 22-month-daughter Vale, is expecting with husband Michael Feldman in December.
